At MozgásKlinika Terézváros the first visit lasts 60 minutes, and it is more than a conversation: the physiotherapist takes your history, examines you, places you on the MozgásPiramis®, makes a treatment plan and starts treatment. The first consultation costs 24,990 HUF and needs no referral.

How are the first 60 minutes structured?

1. A conversation: what is the complaint, and what is the goal?

The therapist asks how long the problem has lasted, what brings it on and what eases it, what work and sport you do, and what you would like to do again without pain. If you bring results (MRI, X-ray, CT, discharge summary), these are reviewed too.

2. Musculoskeletal assessment

The examination does not focus on one painful spot. Among other things the therapist looks at how your joints move, your range of motion, muscle strength and movement control, where compensation appears and how neighbouring body regions work. Tests give information, but no single test “tells” what is wrong: several findings are weighed together.

3. Where are you on the MozgásPiramis®?

From the assessment the physiotherapist tells you which of the five levels of the MozgásPiramis® you are on and what the next priority is: pain relief, range of motion, strength, stability or return to full activity.

4. A treatment plan

You discuss which treatment is recommended (physiotherapy, manual therapy or both), how often, and what to expect. Nobody can guarantee the number of sessions in advance, but you get a realistic estimate.

5. The first treatment

The assessment is not a separate session without treatment. Manual therapy and physiotherapy start in the same hour, and you learn your first exercises, chosen and checked for you by the therapist.

What should you bring?

  • comfortable sportswear you can move in freely;
  • a change of shoes;
  • earlier results, if you have any (not required).

The clinic is at 1065 Budapest, Podmaniczky u. 7., close to Nyugati Railway Station. See getting here for the route.

What comes after the first visit?

That depends on the plan. At level one of the MozgásPiramis® the clinic recommends 12 sessions, twice a week in the painful phase; Why 12 sessions? explains the reasoning. You can book the next sessions one by one or with a pass; prices are on the price list.
